FREE COVID-19 First Aid Kit for all WNCBC member halls

As you know, we have been regularly keeping you informed about ACRE’s advice for the re-opening of halls (the latest update is included below).  Part of the guidance is about the preparation of a COVID-19 First Aid kit, in the event of an incidence of COVID-19 in your hall – the list of items is included in the information sheet at Appendix H, page 28.

You may have already discovered that buying small quantities of PPE is difficult at the moment and buying in bulk can be costly and wasteful.  One of the Consortium’s committee members, David Blackett, having explored the costs of putting together this kit for his own hall, came up with the excellent idea of the Consortium putting together a kit for each of our members.  WNCBC has therefore agreed that a kit will be made available, free of charge, for each of our 65 member halls. The plan is to assemble the kit in a plastic box (which will serve as the ‘washing up bowl’) and make them available at a number of pick-up-points in the area. (to be decided later)

In order we do not over-order items, could you please email us, to let us know if you would like to take up this offer?  We will then decide the pick-up points and you can let us know which would be the easiest for you to access and your kit will be sent to that hall for collection.
